In Acrobat Mission, players can choose to control either Jet, a daring male pilot, or Nova, a resourceful female pilot, as they navigate the cosmos in the formidable Icarus, a sleek and agile space-fighter. Armed with a standard laser, players can unlock two additional weapons throughout their journey: the wide shot, which blankets the front with spread damage, and the Hurricane shot, launching spiraling energy clusters at foes. The Icarus also has the capability to store two smart bombs, strategically placed under each wing; however, users must handle them with care, as they are vulnerable to enemy fire. Unique to this space experience, the Icarus cannot collide with other ships or obstacles, instead bouncing off while only being harmed by enemy attacks. When the shield is fully depleted, players face a tense moment, experiencing a brief loss of control but gaining one final opportunity to retaliate against remaining adversaries before facing an explosive end.
