In Ape Escape, players take on the role of Harry the Ape, determined to conquer a daunting 150-floor office tower. As Harry ascends, the skyscraper scrolls upwards, presenting a dynamic challenge where players can maneuver left, right, and up while navigating perilous obstacles. Closed windows pose a threat, offering no grips and sending Harry plummeting if touched. Players must also outsmart a zookeeper on a scaffold, evade falling bowling balls, and dodge both quaking tremors and helicopters dropping nets. Occasionally, balloons drift up the left side of the building, providing a thrilling shortcut to climb even faster. With only one life to spare, every ascent requires skill and strategy, as a single misstep sends Harry back to the beginning.
